I live with dp and dc's. He is the only name on the deeds and the mortgage. i am a sahm and he works full time.

He has agreed to having our home as a 50/50 ownership in a legal sense.

Is there a law for this? what will i need to do? and what if i signed simething from the bank i think. saying i would not claim on default of mortgage?

You need a Deed of Trust to formalise your agreement.

Don't worry about the form from the bank. That is simply to allow them to repossess the house if you fall behind with mortgage payments.
