My ex has been told that he has to pay £33.34 per week for 2 children, he is a director of his own company on a self employed basis.

Does anyone know, roughly, how much he has told the CSA that he is earning?? Or how i could work out his earning from this sum??

He has failed to lodge this years accounts for his company and has a First Dissolution against it, though I am not sure what this means! Confused

TIA xx

How many nights per week do the DC stay with him?

OodaresingingoftheDoctorDonna · 04/11/2013 07:53

I think its 20% unless he has them more that 1 night a week

TensionSquealsGhoulsHeels · 04/11/2013 07:54

If he has no DC living with him, and has them less than 52 nights per year then he's claiming to earn just over £200 per week. It'll change if the other details are different.

NoAddedSuga · 04/11/2013 07:55

For children it will be 20% of his take home pay

Its about £132 a week he says hes earning after tax

Lovemy3kids · 04/11/2013 08:13

The DC stay with him every other Friday and Saturday night.

Seeing as he's just bought himself a 5-bed house and 2 brand new cars, he's definitely lying about his income Angry.

Thank you everyone.

CSA calculator here says about £230ish is about what he's claiming to earn gross per week.

NoAddedSuga · 04/11/2013 11:13

I think if hes self employed, then your very lucky to get £33 a week. Most self employed fathers put their earnings at £90 a week and therfore pay the flat rate of £5 a week for all the children he has! So that would be £2.50 a week per child.

Leopoldina · 04/11/2013 11:15

he may not be lying; he may be manipulating his earnings. If it's his own compnay, he can pay himself a £10k salary and take his actual cash in other ways. The company will have bought the cars for eg.

JustAnotherFucker · 04/11/2013 11:23

I don't think CSA ask specifically about dividends, which is a normal way for owner-directors to pay themselves on top of a smallish salary.

I think you can ask the CSA to complete a variation in earnings (or something like that) which is basically a more detailed going over of his earnings.

Not sure anything can definitely work though with a non-compliant father tbh.
They duck, they dive and ultimately lose respect from their dcs and those in the know around them. None of that helps when one parent doesn't support their dcs fairly though.

Its shit.

Agree with JAF. Dividend income doesn't come in to it until you apply for a variation.

Lovemy3kids · 04/11/2013 13:39

Thanks everyone. I am going to request a variation from the CSA which another kind MNer advised me yesterday.
