Conveyancing

We are in the process of selling our house and purchasing another - nothing complicated except our solicitors are seeming to be extremely slow at responding to any other parties.

Can I ask any experienced conveyancing solicitors what the normal process is so that I have a better understanding of what I can reasonably pin him down to? He has had the draft contract from our seller for over a month and has not raised any queries yet. He also has 2 of the searches back out of the 3 and the third should be back this week.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi there I am a conveyancer and most transactions take around 6-8 weeks to complete. Some lawyers like to wait until all the searches are back so that they can raise queries regarding the searches and draft contracts all together. Some do it separately just depends. Please let me know if there is anything I can help with x
