my exh is just being so unreasonable and dragging his heels so much that my solicitor has said quickest way is to just let the courts decide.
We had long marriage and although there is a lot of money, it is not complicated.

How does going to court works, what is procedure etc, and can exh refuse to go? And how quickly can it be sorted?
I have tried very hard to allow him time to sort it all but he refuses to accept anything that doesnt not allow him to have the majority share of our assets, despite the fact that me and youngest DS are having to live on a shoestring till this is all sorted.

Just wanted to 'bump' your post for you.

I'm in a similar situation, been exchanging legal letters for a year now, my ex also wants the majority of the assets, and me to take over a large part of of family debt, and thinks as our 2 youngest sons live with me then i should be supporting them.

Except he earns five time what i do, although i am working as many extra hours as i can.

Hope someone with experience comes along to advise you properly, and sending a hug, wouldn't wish this situation on anyone.

thanks Joy5 it is miserable.
I have come to the end of the road with him so am just going to court to get it sorted once and for all. Im looking at it as an investment!

I hope we both get it sorted! I only want what is fair and am not being unreasonable!
Good luck and a hug back!
