We have an 'outhouse' at the bottom of the garden where our au pair lives. Tis very basic and even in the legal deeds, it has a covenant on it that it can never be rented out, just used as ancillary accommodation (which it is!).
There is awful tv reception in the cottage - we are rural, it is surrounded by trees and TV licensing are on at me about paying for a license. We obviously pay for the house, but I feel that the cottage should be included in the main house given that the reception is so poor.
For the avoidance of doubt, I have had SKY in and they can't get a signal because of an 100+ year old oak tree that sits in the way of the satellite signal!
Is this a valid argument for getting them to merge the license's together?
