bail conditions and moving

I'm moving abroad in 10 days. My x has ahd ages to arrange for his stuff to be picked up, and it is supposed to happen this tues. However, he insists on coming in person to sort thorugh, though I've repeatedly stated his stuff is all packed and asked him to specify what furniture he wants. This is via solicitor or his mum, to speed things up.
Yesterday I spoke to the police, on request of xmil, and they were surprised he could not arrange it to be picked up, said he should have got a suspended thing from court, and basically he's breaching his bail conditions.
xmil now panicking.
I don't know what else to do except say to the police this is fine by me, as it means I can go ahead with my moving and I wont be there when he's there.
Any other advice?

I don't understand either, but if you're moving the house has to be cleared whether he comes or not. Can his mum take his stuff?

I think op means that the police have said that ex can't pick up his stuff as it would breach his bail conditions???

If you dont report it they wont know he has technically breached.

If you want to go around it properly, he needs to get his solicitors to contact CPS, make an application for a change in bail. Cps will get the police to contact you to confirm you are happy and it should be dealt with administratively. Speed will depend whether the conditions were imposed at magistrates or crown.

A) not to go to specified address or
B) not to contact you directly or indirectly

Nigel, they specify both A and B, but I've been dealing with his mum to speed things up. I've repeatedly asked that someone comes to get his stuff. It's all packed up in the garage, and he could give a list of the furniture he wants to my solicitor or via his mum, and I was going to give the rest to charity.
They then started insisting he had to come here to sort his things out. I repeated 3 times that his stuff is already packed, they must remove it and then he can sort it out and organise the disposal of what he doesn't want thimself. I've asked for this since the end of May. I finally said ok, I'll be going out for the morning, deal with it the way you want. But they insisted I got him permission from the police. So I called them, and now they know. And my xmil is angry with me because "you are in control of everything happening". It just does my head in.
They are a bit deluded, as they are referring to another time when he was tricking me to stop me getting a restraining order, saying that I/the police set him up to nail/trap him. Very backwards.
She has arranged to come on tuesday, from abroad. because I asked that his stuf was removed before I handed the keys to the landlord, as I'm responsible for the state of the house now. My moving company is coming the following week, and I wanted some time to sort out furniture to charity shop and clear the garage completely.

I told the police on xp and xmils insistence, and explained to the police that I wont be there and that him being there was deemed necessary be him for the removal.
come to think of it, it's manipulation and fuckwittery, and gives them another twisted reason for being aggrieved by my actions... sigh

can i just clarify, are they police-imposed bail conditions or court-imposed

police bail is up to a first hearing at court, court imposed after that. if its court imposed bail cons then the emendation of conditions is the courts business, not the police (although police may wish to object to a change in bail conditions). as i said, he needs to apply through his lawyers to the court.

Thanks for replying, the police said he had to apply through court, so I think it was court imposed. The upshot is he's not coming, so that is fine!
