last will and testament

Can anyone advise how I can find out if a will really is the last will, or if a subsequent one has been made? Is there a central record/register?

(I am worried that a vulnerable person may have been persuaded to make a more recent will than the one I have in my possession).

TIA

Well, there is no central register of wills for people who haven't died yet. Has the person died? If so, (and I presume they have if the will is in your possession), then you'd have to check with his or her solicitors to see if they hold a later will, and if not, and if there's some reason to believe there is a later one, I suggest that you try the Institute of Professional Willwriters who will give you a list of local will writers in the deceased's area, and you can email all of them.

Of course, if the person's still alive, you can't do that.
