I ignored the first letter, and now they are saying the bailifts will be coming!!

The bailiffs are not coming. They would have to take you to court first. It is highly unlikely they will do that. Continue to ignore them.

Check out the MSE threads on this and ignore ignore ignore.... THey DO go away after getting crosser and redder and sillier - when you actually read them calmly they are full of " we may do X that WILL result in bailiffs being sent" etc etc

(I have recently graduated from this process but it tool 6 months or so in total)

GoSuckEggs · 24/06/2013 17:02

thanks. i heard the law has changed and was not sure if that changed the 'ignore, ignore, ignore' advise!

Don't think so but check out MSE and as I said read the letter carefully, it's worded to scare but actually I think you'll find in the mix of threats that they are all we could/should/might/are planning rather than " we are doing this NOW"

GoSuckEggs · 24/06/2013 17:12

yes it does say they 'could' result in debt collection people coming.

It also asks if i was not the driver if i will forward the drivers name and address!

Just ignore and try not to worry. It took 10 months for the letters I was receiving to stop coming. Each one was more threatening than the last and asked for more money than the letter before.

Do not under any circumstances make contact with who is sending them to you.

Theas18 · 25/06/2013 15:23

Oops I thought it was well known.

I mean you look like you might fall into their trap as you haven't encountered this at all. However you are too wise to do that ( give the driver details)

GoSuckEggs · 26/06/2013 18:36

ok, this is my second letter. i will IGNORE!!! Grin
