Adding Husbands Surname

Hello

I am considering taking my husbands surname on, hyphenating:

Eg Jones-Smith

Im the Jones he's the Smith.

When I married I signed as my original name and all my documents etc. (passport, driving licence etc.) are in my name.

If I want to make this change what do I do and who do I inform:

Bank
Mortgage
Utility's
Driving Licence
Passport

Also is there an order to the name e.g. my name then husbands or other way around...

PS Our Children have fathers surname (which isn't an issue)

Meant to add, do I need to change children's birth certificates or leave as is...

You can do it by deed poll for free. Search online for the wording and get it witnessed. Then use this to send to the people you wish to change your name with. I did this and the DVLA accepted it. I included my marriage certificate for good measure although not sure I needed to.

Handy site that, but the reference to enrollment is wholly unnecessary, cumbersome, and potentially obstructive.

Do I become a Mrs as I consider myself a Ms at the minute?
