Estate Agent question in Scotland.

Just picking the brains of those MNetters from North of the Border.
We are currently selling a property in Scotland and have had a fair bit of interest and a very quick offer.
Another viewer has visited recently and when we asked the question of the agent
"Did you tell the viewer what the first viewer had offered?",
he said that they are not "allowed to".
Is this the case?

I think there are some Scottish EAs on here who will know for sure. When I recently sold, I had two offers within an hour of each other, one low, one at full HR valuation. I am pretty sure my agent went back and said we had a full price offer on the table and did the buyer want to up it to match. We hadn't set a closing date.
