Could anyone tell me what is the situation with regard to CRB checking for someone who has already got a job that needs a CRB check, and then subsequently receives a caution? The reason I am asking is that I know for a fact that someone who is teaching in a secondary school has received a caution for assault but is still carrying on teaching. Would this be normal as I'd imagined that this kind of record would stop someone from having contact with schoolchildren?
I know this for a fact because the person is my ex and the person he assaulted is me.
