Without giving to much away . I made a serious allegation that passed the police thresh hold test and was passed to CPS I know it takes time

But wondering is there's set time limit that cps have to respond ? Or will it be infinite amount of time and we just need be patient and wait

More than one as when I made allegation they talked to others who then made their own against same person I did so not a straightforward case by any means

It depends on the type of offence being investigated as some offences such as Dom viol and sexual have designated cps advisors this can speed up the process
The investigation goes as follows
Police speak to all witnesses

Assess the weaknesses ans strengths of the investigation
A police sgt will review the evidence if it passes the threshold test and the offender isn t in police custody ie on bail the papers will be sent for cps to review
This is usually done electronically with a phone call to cps to discuss
If it needs a face to face discussion with cps ie if the witnesses have been video interviewed or the evidence is CCTV etc then cps will need to see the officer in charge with all the material . This can take up to 2 months to arrange as cps are very busy at the moment
This process may ary slightly depending on your area
So yp ! Its a waiting game gve the officer in charge a call for an update
