Immigration advice & legal aid??

I'd be really grateful if anyone could give me some immigration advice. My niece is struggling with the home office and there's no way we can afford a lawyer. I think she would qualify for legal aid- can anyone point me in the right direction please??

Its a criminal offence to give immigration advice if you're not registered with the OISC. Regulated advisors can be found here: oisc.homeoffice.gov.uk/how_to_find_a_regulated_immigration_adviser/

Many thanks for that little halo.

I found an online legal aid calculator and she will definitely qualify.
Does anyone know whether all firms charge an initial appointment fee and / whether this can be claimed as legal aid. I've seen a couple offering free 10 minutes then charge thereafter.

Many thanks
