Invoice - legal question

I was invited to my friends husbands hospitality box for a concert. Big row at end of night. Husband now saying he will invoice me for all the drinks , hospitality etc. Where do I stand if he carries out his threat.

Thanks legal minds out there!

have you got anything inwriting (email/texts) to show that it was an invitation?
if yes I don't think he has a leg to stand on.

As there was no contract agreed upfront then he would have to bring a civil case to claim payment of the invoice. I can't imagine that a judge would rule that it is a breach of contract.

If he sends you an invoice, then I would return it with a letter stating that he offered the hospitality to you for gratis and so you are not paying any amount to him.

A facebook message from his wife saying she has a couple of tickets spare would anyone like them. We were meant ot sit in seat but his wife took me into the+ box.

No contract signed they would be very hard pushed to get anywhere and it would cost more in legal fees than the cost of the drinks - what was the row about?

Thanks all for answers - reassured me. Friend texted that he decided not to invoice me - he must have been on here!
Row was due to her throwing up in car, him shouting at her, me shouting back at him sticking up for her, he accused me of abusing hospitality getting lift etc, he's declared marriage over etc Great nightx

oh dear.. glad he saw sense on the invoice just hope the marriage survives - we all have a little too much once in a while.
