I have to provide to our bank a certified copy of the governing document of a charity I'm involved with. One of the members of the governing body produced a copy of this document but can't locate the original. The copy isn't certified. My question is, if the original document can't be located, how can anyone certify the copy as a true copy of the original?? We requested a copy from the Charity Commissioners but again they just provided a copy, not certified. Will they also hold an original of the document? What if there is no original anywhere??
