when somebody self employed dies

is it different than from a regular person dying in any way? or are all the processes exactly the same? posting an ad in the london gazette and a local paper, giving the creditors 8 weeks.

i did wonder about national insurance contributions.

i think the hmrc bits speak to each other. that was what i was told at the citizend advice, but somebody may want to correct me - if that is wrong.

contact HMRC's bereavement service

They'll be able to tell you what you need to do. The estate executor will need to submit any outstanding returns and pay the outstanding tax but a good accountant can help you.
