Looking for some general advice here from those in the know.
I have been summoned for jury service at the crown court this week.
So far I have not been called to act as a juror but the system here (?everywhere) is that at 4.30pm each day, I phone a number I've been given and listen to a pre-recorded message which gives the PIN numbers of those jurors required to attend court the following day.
Any idea how long this could go on for? 1 week? 2 weeks? a month? 6 months?
I don't recall being given any information about how long I need to keep free in case of need for jury service (I appreciate this could vary depending on a specific case but I'm asking here about the phoning in business).
