How do I get my money back?

I bought 2 voucher deals from gogroopie for 2 Android tablets in November. I redeemed the voucher middle of November and paid £15 p&p for each.

They were obviously Christmas presents and so when they didn't arrive within the 2-3 weeks specified I called and called them and they said that if we oredered them prior to 7th December they guaranteed Xmas delivery.

Obviously they didn't come and now they aren't responding to emails and according to the acknowledgments I'm receiving automatically their phone lines are being upgraded so can't speak to anybody.

How can I get refunded, it's £150 so I'm not willing to let it go. It was paid by debit card, not credit card so I'm not sure what our rights are. They've had our money for almost 2 months but we've not had so much as an email confirming where they are.

Have you contacted Gogroupie to tell them the company is not honouring the sale. If they are vouchers you would have paid Gogroupie and they'd have to pay the company - I think! It's worth a try. All the best. x

Coincidentally they were just talking on the news about redeeming vouchers when a company goes bust - because Jessops has gone under. They said if you bought them with a debit or credit card you were covered but there is a time limit (didn't say what it was). I know you didn't say the company had gone bust - but it sounds a bit fishy to me about them 'updating the phones'. Talk to Gogroupie and then your bank - but do it soon.

It is gogroopie I've been trying to contact as when I did manage to speak to them before Xmas they said they'd handle the refunds and that the company who was sending the tablets out just wouldn't answer the phone.

I think I'll have to call the bank...
