Passport application

Im posting this for a friend. She has three children and has separated from the dad with no contact. She wants to apply for passports, can she apply with just her details? both parents are named on the birth certificate.

Has she called the passport office?

not sure, she asked me over facebook and I had a quick google but couldnt really see. ill ask

I seem to remember that the application asks for both parents' details and passport numbers, although only one parent needs to complete the application.

This was 5 years ago though.

Passport Office are very helpful IME.
