Difference between final contact order and interim

Just wondered if someone could tell me how u know what the difference is? Is it because all interim ones have details of the next direction hearing and the final one doesn't??

I've compared the latest one to all the previous and they look exactly the same, called the same etc, only thing that's different is that this recent one has no further date on it.

Well they both have all the same 'official' stuff on them, but the final order sets out the ongoing plan, rather than the temporary situation. IME the final ones are more detailed with reasons etc, but it might depend on how complex the case is.

Not really happy no, it was listed as a final hearing but the barrister for his ex (partner represented himself) said they didnt wantto go in to court and throw evidence around (my ex had lots showing his ex as just hostile to contact) and said they wanted to reach an agreement instead. they came to an agreement for gradual contact till having kiddies overnight etc and agreed future xmas plans but the barrister told us there would be another hearing after this one to arrange holidays etc and didn't let him read the draft order first!
When he got in to court some of the things agreed were not written on to the order and some things not discussed were on it which she slipped in at the hearing in front of magistrates. He tried to bring it all up but wasn't really listened too.

We've now got the order and it doesn't have details of another hearing just says they can agree further contact between themselves. That's never gonna happen she is literally gonna give him the minimum she can definetly not any extra, she's not let him see them for 2 years just cos he left her and she tried every trick going thru court to stop any contact.

It's just annoying that things really should be listed in the order to stop her games and it now looks like he will have to apply again next year to vary it to include holidays etc which is more money all because the barrister was a bit sneaky and we just took her word for it!
