Ds is in hospital. I have contacted my employer who is giving me parental leave. A quick google search said it is unpaid,is this correct?

Depends on your employer and contract.

No legal requirement to be paid.

You can request it but they don't have to agree.

Ok,thank you. It isn't important in terms of me needing the time off to be with ds but 7 days minimum deducted is a bit tough. Worth requesting but just a tight December if its a no.
