Just a quick one for you.
I recently married my partner, we have lived together for decades and have teenage children.
There have been no changes in circumstance, haven't changed my name etc. Am I obliged to inform anyone,HMRC child benefit etc.?

Not much; on annual things like tax returns you just update at the next one and it's probably prudent to check if the info is needed for pension (widows component, death in service etc) to specify new legal status.

You may need a new Will however, as marriage invalidates all previous ones, even when the intended beneficiaries remain the same.

Thank you. Funnily enough we have been talking about updating the wills. I had no idea about invalidation due to marriage. Will get on to that.
