Hello! Today is 5th October. We have been told at work today that due to the extra day in the Christmas holiday period (office is closed from afternoon 21st December - 2nd January) we must now use our annual leave for 31st December. Many of us do not have any annual leave left at this point in the year. Those of us who do not have any leave left are willing to come in and work for the day or on the 24th. However, not sure management is willing to come in.

Also, we have worked an extra day this year already due to Leap Day in February.

What is the legality of this, and what should we do?
