Help - I need some advice.

We recently received our very new and expensive bespoke bifold doors and roof lights and have discovered that they are not as per our original drawings. We have subsequently discovered that our plans were altered after we signed them off by the production manager as he thought the plans wouldn't work. They claim to have contacted us and our architect but neither of us can find any email correspondence or can remember ever agreeing to these variations. They claim to have some evidence of our agreement but will not provide us with a copy. Does anyone know where we stand on this as they are refusing to make any replacement / alterations without us paying.

How long ago was this, you have 6 years to bring a contractual claim if you believe the contract was breached.

Do the changes have any negative effects?

The company sound horrendous! I would send a few polite requests saying you would like to resolve this amicably, please provide a copy (and perhaps offer to pay reasonable expenses for photocopying and postage) and if nothing pursue a small claims action (moneyclaimsonline is very easy to use) depending on the value of the doors and lights.
