in dispute with plumber

reasonable time for a boiler to last? we had a new boiler 3 years ago, this is second time it has broken down. Firm who put it in want to charge 2000 pounds to repair it.
surely 3 years is not long for a boiler

Shouldn't pay as much as £2000 to buy and install it. Try a quote from a small local independent plumber/gas fitter. We paid £1300 for ours.

I am miffed to be paying much at all. 3 years is not very long

Take it up with the manufacturer rather than the installer.
