Just wondered pls, if someone could help.
At last hearing which was the first one after seeing the judge who told the ex she had to go away and find someone to supervise contact to start asap until test results were back when were vack in court.
They went away sorted something and my partners ex's barrister was quite pushy in saying this is what were offering not really giving him time to think about it and ensure it was suitable and although on that occassion he agreed to all just to start seeing his kids this time he needs to be a little bit more firm as were expecting silly restrictions despute testing being back and all clear.
she wrote up the order during the lunch break and passed it to my partner to read and check it as they were walking in to see the judge which obviously he didnt have time to read properly.
she added something to it Something that had been requested earlier by them in court which the judge argued wasnt needed but once back in court the judge didnt even acknowledge it had been added and it ended up being included.
My question really is should the barrister ensure my partner has sufficent time to read what she had written so he can double check it all and if she doesnt can he ask for time to read it.
When she handed it to my partner she said to him you can read it but the judge is waiting and if we dont go in now we will be here till end of the day waiting and the judge will read it anyway. (another case were waiting to go in but my partners case was squeezed in)
Also during negotiations between my partner and his ex via the barrister, if she gives a suggestion from the ex can my partner discuss with me or who ever may of gone with him to court for support to work out if whats been offered is reasonable?? again last time we were made to feel like we couldnt discuss anything between us.
Just would like to make sure my partner doesnt come across wrong because were not sure of how it works
