Car Insurance - lapse ? - no paperwork

I have been a bit crap with paperwork over the last year and can't remember exactly when my car insurance is due for renewal (It suddenly came to me last night that I think it was mid June). However, I've received no renewal paperwork in the post and I can't find last years anywhere.

I think I'm driving with no insurance and desperately need to sort this out.

How do I find out about my car insurance ?

Great, my car is showing as insured but I think the renewal date is 13th June.

I can't think how I've paid for insurance although it may be linked to my credit card - might need to call them , perhaps I missed e-mails with policy documents attached, I'll have to search back through them.
