We submitted all the forms for MIL's estate to the Birmingham District Registry a few weeks ago. They were sent by Special Delivery and according to the Royal Mail tracking service they were delivered on 6th June. The cheque for the fees cleared the bank a few days later.
The guidance notes say "If there are no problems, we will send you a letter (usually ten days after we receive your application) inviting you to a 10-15 minute interview at the location you have chosen."
We're now 15 working days after receipt and have heard nothing. Are the guidance notes overly optimistic or is anyone aware of any current backlog?
