OK

Can you have a different name on your passport and drivers license?

I am loathe to spend a great deal of money replacing my maiden name passport until it expires in a couple of years, but need to update my DL anyway.

Is it legal to have 2 different names i.e maiden name passport and married name drivers license?

TIA

Are you in US or UK?

If UK, it's not illegal, but it may be inconvenient. What name will you be having credit cards etc in?

I'm with you. I got my passport renewed for a holiday just before I married. It's still in my maidan name as I'm not paying £70 to change it! Everything else is in my married name. Just remember to book plane tickets etc in the right name. I take my marriage certificate with me just in case.

Passport office told me not to bother changing it until it runs out, 9years after marriage.

In the UK, so I guess it's go ahead with the dual identities.

Many thanks.
