After a quarter of a century as a family lawyer (plus wills on the side), I am leaving practice, to do an admin job for an anti-piracy organisation.
I am very very happy not to deal with any more divorces ever ever again, but I must admit I got a twinge in court today when the barrister on the other side referred to me as "my learned friend" and I realised that I am never going to be anyone's learned friend ever again.
AIBU to feel a little nostalgic, or should I get whacked round the gob with a damp brief?[grim]
