Basically i started a tenancy 6 months back and i was asked to pay x amount of bond money which i was promised to recieve back after leaving.
Anyways this 6 months didn't work out so well and i have fount a better property .
My landlord and landlady was cutting alot of corners and the bond money was never put into any goverments approved bond scheme etc.(first time privately renting so was unaware of how things went)
I read somewhere if it not put in one of the 2 recognise schemes legally i am allowed my full bond money back regardless of the state property left in, as it was illegal in the first place not to put it in a scheme in first place.
Problem is i have lent this money of a family member for a deposit on my new property and assumed i can pay them back as soon as i get it back.
The property hasn't been damaged if anything i probably improved it.
There a few issue with my landlord and he annoyed that i made him shift existing furni ,however it was basically junk in the first place and before even signing tenancy i did resquest for it all to removed out the premises which they agreed to but didn't until about 4ish month into tenancy and still was recluant to which annoyed me if they had told me this in the first place i would of never signed any contracts in the first place.
I just wondering is there any legal advise i can take to get my bond money back quickly and swiftly?
Where do i stand in this ? (my rights)
There another 1 month rent to still pay so would i be entitled to keep that if they didn't eventhough it not as much as bond money ?
