Hi, just wondering of anyone has been in a similar position to myself before and if they have any advice.
We just got notification yesterday that our house may be subject to a compulsory purchase order. We live beside the main glasgow to Edinburgh railway line and major work is due to start at the beginning of next year. We live up a private lane owned by network rail. They use the lane to access the line and I have been told that this will be the main point of access for electrifying the line.
Can anyone suggest what we do now? We would be quite happy to sell. I also am worried about what the situation will be if network rail don't buy as it could adversely affect the value of our house and prevent us selling it on to someone else.
Any advice much appreciated.
