My 3 grandchildren live with me i have sgo.history is they lived with mum and dad domestic violence mum left with children they get taken away by ss for neglect ect places with father he abuses them starves them leaves them alone ss involved, children removed placed with me.father given caution.
This all goes through court im given sgo.father is only allowed indirect contact for 2 years he has many conditions before he can apply for direct contact.Anyway its now emerged that he sexually abused the eldest girl ss involved due to this, police interviewed her but she was to scared to say to much so case is open hoping she will speak in time.
I find out today that he is going to ask for direct contact does he stand a chance with case not proved, what grandaughter has said and done last few weeks no child would no unless it had happened to them.the children are 5 3 and 2.

He can ask for direct contact but it sounds like lots of arguments against it.
At the most at this point they might suggest supervised contact ina contact centr .
But if this is proposed ask for observed and recorded contact with reports going back to court or cafcass. So not to just a contact cents run by volunteers but run by professionals who can make proper reports .

Contact centre.

I think before even supervised contact were to take place there'd have to be a fact finding hearing.

Just about to go out but google Fact Finding Hearing.

Thank you for your replys we had a fact finding hearing with the sgo as he wanted contact then it was found that he was violent to the children and to ex wife and two girl friends neglect starving the children and leaving them alone.maybe in time the little one will be able to tell more people what has happened but at the moment she thinks she will be in trouble.its truly shocking seeing such a young child acting out sex acts that have happened to her.

If you haven't done so already, seek a referral for your gd to a child pscychology/psychiatry unit so that she can be helped to come to terms with her experiences and for a report to be made to any Court to which her f may apply for direct contact.
