I'm about to start divorce proceedings and am trying to choose between 2 solicitors:
One very experience and has her own practice. Didn't feel quite as comfortable talkign to her, and she possibly seems too laid back but think she'll protect my interests
The other about 7 years experience, seems quite feisty, got on well with her but not as confident about some issues

It sounds like you're not overly impressed by either of them!

There are no hard and fast rules - choose the one you feel most comfortable with, who you feel understands your case best. If you know anyone who has been divorced in your area, you could ask them who they used and whether they have any recommendations.

A friend of mine found one through reading feedback on local family law firms' websites, and discovered she knew one of the people who'd posted a glowing recommendation.

Perhaps you should look at a couple more?
