i shall be starting my 2 yrold at playgroup very soon ( hes driving me nuts) . i have filled in the form got my proof address and his birth cert, but it says i have to pay a booking fee? i thought these where illegal now? anyone out there know if this is true or am i just being ripped off again? can i refuse to pay it?

If it is a private nursery, preschool or playgroup I think a deposit or fee may still be chargeable, especially until he has a funded place (ie after he has turned 3)
