How can I find out when a hearing is taking place?

A friend's H has been charged with fraud and there is a hearing this week. According to the people he has defrauded he has changed his plea from guilty to not guilty. He has told my friend that he is still pleading guilty (they are separated). I know the court and date of hearing but is there anyway I can find out time etc. as I was thinking of going along to find out what happens. Any lawyers able to help please?

Have a look on the Courtserve site. It shows the listings for the following day. The lists go up about now.

It could be anytime depending on what else is being heard at the same time. There probably won't be a specific time for his case. IME (Scotland) you are called to court and you wait until they are ready for you.

Not very helpful I'm afraid!

There might be a time on the list, which could give you some idea - but generally the list begins at 10.30 but could take all day. If it is listed for trial then it might already be allocated a court, or it could be in the 'floating' list (no court allocated yet).

Merle, thanks I have looked at courtserv I know the hearing is on Wed so assume the list will be available tomorrow? I think the trial will be in early January if his plea has changed, he's a bit of a crook going by what has emerged in the last six months.

Yes. The final list will be up there tomorrow afternoon.
