New boots leaking - what am I entitled to?

Only bought them a week ago, they are the most £££ boots I have ever bought, so I was most annoyed that after 30 mins or so out in light drizzle both my socks are wet! not bloody good enough. Otherwise I totally love them, they are incredibly comfortable and have not needed any breaking in at all. I have the receipt, but am v unclear as to my rights. In a way I would prefer an exchange to a full refund, or even whether the shop could send them back to the manufacturer to repair them - but what can I realistically expect? I have been wearing them most days so they are obviously not box-fresh.

You are entitled to a refund of your money, as they are not of merchantable quality, nor are they fit for purpose.
