Mediation question

My exh is trying to take me back to court again for the upteenth time.
I was asked to attend a mediation session which I did last month.
The mediator informed me at the time that ex had not even bothered to contact them after they sent him a letter in August. The mediator also said that as he hadn't attended mediation that he would be unable to take the matter back to court, is this correct?

No. They're wrong. He'll just have to tell the judge why he didn't go. The judge might halt the application and direct you both to mediation, but IME judges aren't doing that (unless they can see the point).

Thanks for the response, I thought she was wrong though, I even asked her a couple of times!!! To be honest I'm pleased he can take it back to court, just wish he would bloody hurry up about it, eight years is a long time to still be sorting out finances!!! Hmm
