I'm currently goin through family court as my ex partner wants access to our daughter. A year ago my ex was charged with 3 counts of rape, 2 precurment to miscarriage and 2 counts of gbh against me. Unfortunately it was all dropped 2 day b4 due in court. The full police bundle, including my medical records were passed 2 both family lawyers, which has meant my ex partner has been able 2 read every detail since I was born. It has left me feelin absolutely devastated and i'm questioning if this should have happened. Does ne1 else have ne ideas as wen I ask my family lawyer he just shrugs his shouldrs and says it cos it was part of police bundle?

There will presumably be a finding of fact hearing in your case in due course.

All this paperwork is relevant to that hearing. That is why it's been disclosed.

His solicitors will have given an undertaking to the police that they wouldn't give copies to your ex, or indeed anyone else other than the judge and your solicitors. Your ex can read them, but can't take them away.

He must also not reveal the contents of these papers to anyone else.

Get your solicitor to write to his to ask that they have warned your ex about this.

Thanx. Wud the police not need my permission first as I only gave permission 4 the police 2 have them. Also y wud my whole medical record b handed over wen they were only looked at 2 c if I had visited my dr wen I was pregnant? He is now saying i'm crazy as I had depression 4 6 months wen I was 18, which is 6years b4 I even met him. I cannot stand the feelin that he knows every fact about me, right down 2 every cough I had when I was a baby.
