if I had no savings and no income but about £70,000 equity in my house? I have two dependent children and as yet receive no child benefit (have just moved back to the uk) and their father (still in his EU country) has just cut off my access to his account.

Is the legal aid for a divorce?

Yes.

You would qualify on financial grounds. But LA will be withdrawn for these cases soon.

You might.

But if you win your case and get a financial settlement, you may have to pay your costs back to the LSC out of it.

Legal Aid isn't free, it's a loan.

But it's the only way to fund a case if you haven't got the up front cash.
