DP got the rear tyres changed on the car two days ago. Today, we were driving around with the baby in the car and could feel a kind of judder. He got a mechanic friend to look at it who told him <insert blah blah mechanic-y type stuff here that I didn't really take in> but the upshot is it was caused by them not refittin the wheel correctly and is actually very dangerous - it could blow the tyre at amy moment (DP absolutely SEETHING at this point as we'd all been in the car today at speed on the motorway). He took it back to the place that he bought the tyreswho chaned them and the guy there dismissed him saying 'we only correct faults within 24 hours. We won't change it'. The other guy sittin with him ^laughed^ at DP. He's so incredibly angry bt neither of us know where we stand legally or what we need to do to sort this situation out (short of paying for someone else to correct the fault - which we may well do but shouldn't these cowboys be made to pay somehow for endangering us and then blowing it off?)
