Long story short, ex husband is refusing to sign the papers to sign the house over to me as instucted by divorce settlement.
My solicitor has contacted him by letter 3 times, but he has ignored all of them. They have told me today that they will have to take him back to court to sort it out.
Anyone know what will happen now?

Not a divorce lawyer but I should imagine they'll go to court and ask for an order to enforce the original one, i.e. the house will be automatically transferred to you. No idea how long it will take or how much it will cost though, sorry. Hopefully someone will come along who knows more.

They'll make an application for the district judge to sign the transfer deed over to you. They'll have to serve him with notice of the application, but given that you already have an order, he's unlikely to defend/bother turning up to court so you should get your order, albeit you'll have to fork out yet more costs. Make sure your sols apply for an order for costs against him as well, as he'll then get a CCJ against him so maybe oneof these days you'll get those extra costs back.

No. The solicitor will file an affidavit on your behalf setting out the details of what efforts have been made to get him to sign. You can go along to court but the judge is unlikely to want to hear any evidence from you, and even if she did, it's no biggy, you just sit round a table in a private room.
