H and I are separated, he forged my sig on a loan application and since he is now bankrupt, i have to go to court tomorrow as loan co want their money back. I have no idea what to expect, procedures etc. I have provided handwriting expert proof that sig not mine. Cant afford solicitor so will do it myself but unsure how to present so please help..

Present your evidence and trust that the judge will see the truth. Get details of where the money was paid to.

If you didn't sign it, you don't need to repay a penny.

i am nervous as never been to court before, also i buried my head in the sand and didnt even realise that i would have to file defence. did so last week by filling in form n244 so will that go against me as it was last minute..

i am not sure where money was paid into, prob the company he was running at the time(5 years ago). I was a guarantor on the loan that he forged the sig too.

Do you have the time and date of when you allegedly signed the document? If so, get a bank statment from the bank for the time and see if you bought anything which would contradict the time of the signature. Were there any witnesses on the agreement. Just a suggestion.
