Ex will not provide me with new address

As it says, really. He has moved recently and won't give me his new address so the solicitor saying this may cause difficulties with sorting out finances etc as I am probably going to have to take him to court. As he has moved only recently then the solicitor's usual method of looking at the electoral register won't work.

Any advice what to do? He is only doing this to be awkward and waste my time and money in solicitor's fees.

If he has a solicitor, everything can go through them.

This guy is a real arse.

Correspond with his work address or a known relative?

Thanks Scurryfunge - I know his work address (if he's still there) and his parents' address so that might be the way forward.
