Legal Aid Entitlement

Hi,

How does legal aid work? Is there a cut off limit with your income or is it how much money you have left every month?

There's an eligibility calculator on the Legal Services Commission website.

Put your figures into that and in a moment it'll tell you whether you're entitled.

You may have to make a contribution from savings or income.

The eligibility calculator is a bit of a blunt instrument though. There are many rules relating to eligibility that they can't fit into it.
