Making a will - what if I die abroad?

Hi - help - I made a will when I lived in Australia, but I've mosed to the UK since then. The old will was under Oz law, and since then all my assets have been moved to the UK. Does anyone know, if I were to die in the UK - is the Oz one still valid?

Don't know TBH. Our wills were made in England when we lived in Oman. Since then we lived in Thailand and Switzerland where they would not be valid and now in Belgium where I don't know.
Can you ring a solicitor and ask for some advice?

Hi hun, I think you need a UK Will for the UK assets. The Oz one might still be valid but its going to cause a lot of hassel for your Executors.

As your assets are now in the UK, I do recommend that you have a will written up here, unless you're only here temporarily.
