Could any body tell me what a safe guard order is please.

re; Step uncle being deemed mentally un fit, possibly in the beggining of alzheimers/senile dementia to answer questions by the DRs, they live in spain, ex pats, but over here at the mo, long story.
His natural daughter who alledgedley does not like Fathers 2nd wife of over 20 yrs +, and her family, has applied for this.
Ive advised she speaks/gets a soliciter but my aunt (late 60's)seems to think all will be alright in the end.

Any advice, experience, appreciated
thanks

I'm not sure about safeguarders in Spain but here in Scotland the court may appoint (order) a safeguarder to take part in proceedings to represent the interests of a mentally incapacitated adult.
