Do I have to have a water meter?

Has the law really been changed so that Southern Water can fix a water meter even though I don't want one?

Some bloke has just come to the door telling me they're going to fix one in 3 weeks.

Is that done and dusted then?

Looks like you live in what is regarded as a "water stressed area" so I'm afraid they can change you without you wanting it.

Ah yes, I've heard ads on the local radio about being water stressed.

Damn. Hope my DD stops wetting the bed soon then. Sad

Am terrified of it happening here. 5 daily showers, 8-10 washloads and umpteen dishes would probably bankrupt me Sad

We are also SW Don't be to worried - our bills are much lower with a meter than they were before and we use more water than our old house.
