Aggressive farmer preventing land sale

dh is trying to sell some woodland in Sussex. The farmer who's land is adjoining has a right of way enabling dh to access this woodland.

A buyer has put an offer in and dh has accepted it and the sale is going ahead, but apparently the farmer next door has been interfering with the right of way and has told the new owner that he's going to cause loads of trouble for him if he buys the land.

The buyer is now getting twitchy.

The problems with the farmer date back to the 60s, but the right of way was set by the court back in 1984 and is registered with The Land Registry.

Can the farmer legally put people off buying the land and handing out these threats? Not to duff people up or anything, but just to be as troublesome as possible.

We really need the money because dh was made redundant Sad
