Seeing solicitor - do I need to take anything

H walked out before Christmas so I'm seeing a solicitor tomorrow. I didn't think that I would be allegible for legal aid but I think now I might be (am part time and have 2yo dd). Should I let the solicitor know before I turn up (they do do legal aid but I said I didn't think I qualified) and as I am going to try and get it is there anything I should take with me?

Take:

  1. Your most recent pay slip
  2. Your tax credit award letter
  3. Most recent bank statement
  4. Evidence of any other benefit income (in the form of a letter from, say, jobcentre plus - must be less than a month old)

Also take your pasport and a utility bill to satisfy money laundering regs.
